Many of you have been very generous in donating to our Education Programs and Events Annual Appeal. We are looking forward to your support and involvement in branch activities and events as we continue our programs for educational empowerment and advocacy. We are seeking donations and volunteers in support of the events that follow:
Attached are suggested levels of sponsorships. However, all donations and support are appreciated. The Annual Appeal ends on July 31. We look forward to having your help to provide students with the information and resources needed to move forward in their careers and success in life.
- High School: college and career readiness, trips to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), other area colleges / trade schools.
- Funding trips to museums and enrichment activities for neediest students.
- Ongoing-Claudia Pickeral Memorial Scholarship- Distribution of $500 or more for eligible students and stipends for First Generation College students.
- School Supplies "Give Away"- Title 1 (August 16th, 2024)/ Community Resource events. (Title 1 Schools- are high poverty schools, as determined by the number of students who qualify for free or reduced lunch.)
